Cheryl "Cherl" A. Cook, 66, of Fostoria and formerly of Findlay, has gone home to be with her savior, Jesus on March 9, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center of Findlay.

Cheryl was born to Carl "Duke" and Carol (Fruchey) McKitrick in Findlay on April 28, 1958. Cheryl married Steven Cook on May 27, 1989 at the First United Brethren Church, and he survives. 

Cheryl was a lifetime member of the First United Brethren Church of Findlay. She was known for loving her sweets (especially Dietsch's malted milk balls), Brae's amazing cooking, and vanilla milk shakes. She enjoyed spending time with her family, spreading the Gospel of Jesus, and was a caring person who loved her nursing job. Cheryl graduated from Findlay High School in 1976 and graduated with her nursing degree in 1985 from Owens Community College. She also worked at Whirlpool before obtaining her nursing degree. Cheryl retired in 2007. Cheryl was an animal lover, especially her pit bull named Mercillis, who was a loving but protecting pet. 

Surviving is her husband, Steven Cook of Fostoria; her children, Brae A. Cook and Cheyenne C. Cook, both of Fostoria, and Asia B. (Zackery) Kuhlman of Bluffton; six grandchildren, Skylar Rodriguez-Shoemaker, Lillian Cook, Cohen Cook, Kailor Cook, and Krue and Kaverial Kuhlman; her mother, Carol McKitrick, and four siblings, Jennifer (Jack) Marsh of Rawson, Shirley (Tim) Tussing of Findlay, Ann McKitrick of Findlay, and Michael (Bonnie) McKitrick of Findlay. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl "Duke" McKitrick, and a brother Scott (Sara) McKitrick. 

Cheryl chose the Bible verse for each day the Lord gave her, to share with her loved family and friends. Her last verse she was able to send on January 29, 2025 was Revelations 4-5.

There will be no services at this time.
