On January 24, the Bluffton-based dress company Super Cute Dresses featured the work of co-owner and designer Kariann Ringger in a Washington, D.C. fashion show in conjunction with the company’s Silver sponsorship of the National March for Life. The business is an online retailer of dresses for pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. This includes nursing, non-nursing, and mommy-and-me styles.

The fashion show was held in the Kimpton Monaco Hotel in downtown Washington, D.C. The event celebrated women and mothers. Some of the models were pregnant; many mothers walked alongside their daughters on the runway.

Kariann herself modelled the first and last dresses in the fashion show. The final dress, which drew gasps from the audience, was a long-sleeved silken gown with a two-foot train. Covered in embroidered flowers, it could easily be a bohemian wedding dress. 

Each style was modest yet flattering, ranging from formal ball gowns to everyday, knee-length, farmhouse-style dresses. Puffed sleeves, smocking, empire waists and patterns in cottons, lace, denim, eyelet and satins abounded. Colors from bright reds and soft blues to lacy blacks were a feast for the eyes. The 33 dresses, even the ball gowns, were nursing dresses.

Kariann thanked everyone for coming and posed under the archway for photos with attendees for the next hour after the show. In the attached photo, she is seen with her husband and co-owner, Luke Ringger.

Most audience members, who flew in from across the United States, were wearing dresses from the brand. Some came with their children in tow. One model/staff member came from Romania to attend.
