Findlay High School’s steel drum band, Pantasia, will play at a free concert on Sunday, Aug. 19, at 6:30 p.m. at Mennonite Memorial Home (MMH), 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton.
MMH has hosted the annual Concert on the Lawn since 2005. The Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio Service Group will serve ice cream, and ice water will also be available. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and dress for the weather.
Now, you get the idea. The widening of Bentley Road from the Little Riley Crrek bridge to Augsburger Road is now paved and has a double yellow line. That line curves to the east immediately north of the bridge. The next step is a stripe and signage on the west side of the road. It will designate space for pedestrians. Stay tuned.
Note: July's Summerfest and 1K was cancelled due to rain. Derek and Brandon assured the Icon that Saturday's rescheduled 1K will happen even if it snows.
