Swiss Community Historical Society reprints two important area history books
Two significant Bluffton history books are available as reprints this summer from the Swiss Community Historical Society, according to Phil Kingsley, society president.
The books, "Historical Events of the Mennonite Settlement in Allen and Putnam Counties, Ohio," by P.B. Amstutz (1925 - with maps added to this reprinting by Keith Sommer), and "Life in the Bluffton and Pandora, Ohio Community, 1877-1910: Excerpts from the Bluffton News," by Edgar Schumacher (1997), are the two books.
Books are available:
The P.B.Amstutz book costs $20 and the Edgar Schumacher book $25.00. Both books are for sale at Book ReViews.
The Swiss Community Historical Society will also be selling the books at its our events, including the Fall Festival, Swiss Day, and similar events.
Persons wanting special orders may contact Phil or Judith Kingsley at [email protected].
