Putnam County entrepreneur spotlight Thursday
The Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs will host an online discussion about new business development in Putnam County at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 18.
Guests will be Amy Sealts of the Putnam County Community Improvement Corporation (PCCIC), Andy Beaston of Titan Trolley LLC, and Tom Giesken of Well Grounded Cafe.
A 30-minute interview will be recorded for YouTube, followed by a Q&A session with live guests.
Sealts is an economic developer, business strategist, and community economy advocate. She’ll discuss how PICCIC provides assistance across 15 communities and townships.
Beaston is introducing pedal bar excursions to the communities of Ottawa and Glandorf. Titan Trolley’s 14-person pedal-powered vehicles can be reserved by the seat for a basic 2-hour tour or for a half-dozen other packages.
Passengers bring their own beer, wine, and seltzer in non-glass containers. Drivers can follow pre-designed or custom routes. Additional features are room for cooler storage and bluetooth speakers.
Giesken and his wife, Patty, are opening a coffee shop at the “crossroads” of Putnam County at the corner of Main Street and State Route 65, Ottawa.
Well Grounded Cafe will make guests at home in a thoroughly renovated building. Formerly a Sinclair gas station, the cafe will have a place for entertainment and a new garage door that can be opened in nice weather. The menu will include coffee drinks and baked goods.
