BLUFFTON, Ohio - Coming off a victory over Heidelberg on Friday afternoon, the Beavers continued to play together to win their first match of the day, a four-set Spiketacular victory over Kenyon (25-21, 21-25, 25-23, and 27-25) on Saturday, Sept. 10.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's soccer team hosted Marygrove College on a rainy Saturday, Sept. 10, at Alumni Field. The home opener saw the Beavers drop a 4-0 decision to the Mustangs in a match that was played with a modified nine v. nine format due to numerous injuries for both squads.

Marygrove netted a pair of goals each half, all by Whitney Cole, for a 4-0 victory on the turf.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Sommer Center Spiketacular returned to campus on Friday, Sept. 9, bringing a total of seven outstanding teams to Bluffton, including Ohio Northern, DePauw, Thomas More, Kenyon, Geneva and Heidelberg.

Bluffton HS defeated Fort Loramie 14-0 in a non-conference game at Harmon Field on Friday.

May I have it in a sentence please: "The second annual Bluffton Public Library adult spelling bee is Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m."

That's correct. Bluffton Public Library invites adults patrons to join in its second annual spelling bee.

Jessica Hermiller, library administrator said, "This fun competition promotes community literacy and features several prizes for participants to win, including a cash grand prize."

How can Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs best serve established Bluffton businesses and start-up Bluffton businesses?

BCE posed the question to Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce members during the first chamber breakfast of the 2016-17 season on Friday morning.

The question launched small group discussions from chamber members, who offered several suggestions.

Bluffton HS girls' golf team was only 7 strokes off Minster as BHS lost 190-197 earlier this week.

Alivia Koenig was BHS medalist with a 47. Complete game stats are in the attachment.

Senior Captain Sydney Staton shoots for the Lady Pirates against Spencerville.

 

The Bluffton Lady Pirates junior varsity girls' soccer team met the Clyde Fliers on Thursday evening in Steinmetz Stadium. 

Ashley Augsburger scored two goals in the first half.  A personal foul called on Clyde gave Bluffton a free kick, taken by Freshman Danielle Novak, who shot it straight up the middle for goal 3.  Bluffton wins 3-0.

The Bluffton varsity team faced the Spencerville Bearcats at 7 p.m.
